Centerpiece

The work is inspired by Ugo La Pietra’s design, particularly his 1960s pieces focused on tissue structures with a random effect. Using cold-worked and hot-warped methacrylate, the creation combines tract, shape, and function seamlessly, with the material embodying the structure’s essence. The design features sinuous, recurring shapes common in that era, where random distortions intentionally alter the object’s perceptual structure. These distortions are not irrational but purposeful, achieved through overlapping objects and strategic juxtapositions, allowing for endless arrangements and a variety of colors.
